Lowell Central Electric Co., Inc. (LCE) was originally started around the 1950’s by Frederick J. Maria as Central Electric Co. One of Fred’s early projects was for Demoulas Supermarkets second store located in Lowell, MA. With the successful completion of that project and the continued growth of Demoulas Supermarkets, Central Electric kept a primary focus on commercial construction.
Upon Fred’s passing in 1987 the company was handed over to Fred’s brother Robert, and two longtime employees Donald Lemire and John Cummings. At that time the company was incorporated and the name was changed to Lowell Central Electric Co. Inc.
Today the company is run by Robert, his son John, along with Donald Lemire and John Cummings. LCE is very fortunate to have a low employee turn-over with many employees having over 10-20 years employment with us. At LCE we pride ourselves with maintaining an open door policy with all our employees. We know our staff well and they know what we expect of them. This “family” approach to running our company helps us stay on top of any issues that may arise on a given project.
Nearly sixty years later at LCE our focus is still with commercial / industrial / retail projects. We have successfully worked with many national retailers providing complete electrical services. From site lighting, electric utility preparations, tenant fit-up, fire alarm, data and communication wiring, LCE can handle all your electrical needs.
With a fleet of over 25 vehicles including our own bucket truck, large rack body truck and scissor lifts we have the right equipment to get the job done. We offer 24/7 emergency service for our clients providing them complete electrical emergency coverage for power outages, fire alarm service, etc.
